BEFORE

AFTER

Have been meaning to post the pictures of our front yard make-over. Was waiting for the rest of the mulch to arrive, but of course it is on back order, so it could be August......... Some day I will show you the finished product, but for now this is it. Some improvement isn't it? Posted by Picasa

That what the fun will be....... Learning about the different ingredients, with your help of course. There is a market not to far from me where I think I can get what I need. (That is where I bought my bulk Curry Powder. I think I have used like two or three teaspoons out of this huge bag, but it was such a good deal I couldn't see paying the same amount of money for a tiny can in the grocery store.) Also, the store where I shop at has an international isle that is fair, and if I bug them enough, they will try and order things for me. I have taught them that it is easier to do that then to have to keep listening to me complain because they don't carry something.
If that doesn't work, I can always order what I need from the web. Right?
I'm getting excited!!!

Your yard does truly look wonderful!! You have so much energy, I like you say stick the plants go in the ground and they better grow or else!! Silks can be a very good thing I've decided in a pinch!!

Your msg of embracing the bad is very inspirational too--keep it up, you know I love you and love to get your perspective.

I few years back, I put a silk vine with purple flowers on the ladder that goes up to the tree house, and was AMAZED at the number of people that thought it was real, and that I had trained it to grow like that. I almost hated telling them it was a fake, as they were so disapointed. Last year I had plans to do something similar on the arch in the front. I had it planned out how I would buy several short ones and add a piece each week so it would look like it was growing taller and everyone driving by would think it was real. In the end I decided that since my youngest and I are always backing into the arch when leaving the driveway, it would be too much up-keep!
