THE LAST FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL OUTFIT!

My youngest begins her Senior year of high school this morning. Her comment, "This is the most un-excited I have ever been about going back to school." I know her pain, as high school and I didn't get along too well either. If it could have been me and the teachers, things would have been fine, but when you threw in the peers, not so much fun. She will be a much better college student I think.

Anyway, I think the skirt turned out pretty good. She likes it, and that is the important part, since that dramatically increases the odds that she will wear it more than once instead of letting it look good on her bedroom floor!

How about you guys...... Yeah or Nay for high school? Posted by Picasa

I enjoyed my college life so much more than my skool life. Not that my school life was bad but just that I got the right kinda friends with whom I cud share my thots & they were fun loving like me! Oh my, college life was just so memorable! I miss them indeed!

HTBM,

Like many things in my life, I did college the hard way, as a single parent of three children. I am sure it could have been great as a youngester, and I am glad it was just that for you.

College was and is great--still going from time to time. By the way the outfit looks great and if she likes it that is more than half the battle. Good job.

U know I think of u often as to how u've managed as a single parent. I struggle quite a bit despite having my husband & others to support with just 2 kids!

Yes, in the past, I have unconsiously choosen to do many things the hard way. Lucky for me I am learning that things turn out fine without all of the uphill battles, and life doesn't have to be hard to count as successful. You have just learned the value of support much earlier than I did. Good for you!

This may sound bad but....

From what I remember about high school I would have to say nay...

College wasn't that great either I didn't really start to have fun/fit in/accept myself until about 1 year ago after we separated

What sounds bad, that you don't remember much about high school or that high school was bad. In either case, I am with you, though I did have my 30 year reunion (has it been THAT long?) last summer so that may make my "not remembering"a little more understaning.

I did not attend, as someone took me off the list after the 20 year reunion and I have not been invited to the last two. Talk about not being liked! If they only knew what a great person I turned out to be...

Maybe they do, and they are jealous, and...
