Some time ago I may have mentioned that I wanted to grow out my hair to donate it to Locks of Love, once, before I died. See above picture...
I needed to change my Saturday appointment to last night, so maybe it is because I caught my hair stylist (isn't that the politically correct term for "the girl that cuts my hair"?) at a weak moment. I insisted she measure my hair to see how much longer I needed to drag it around with me and the next thing I know she had scissors in her hands then I had a clump of hair in mine! HOW COOL IS THAT?
I am very proud of the amount of hair I have to send in. It should be able to be used to make someone very happy.
Ya! I know you are all just dying to see what the after pictures look like so I won't keep you in suspense any longer...
She could have gone even shorter as far as I am concerned... Of course I will be growing my hair out again by the end of the week! It is just what I do.

That's fantastic!! I for one THANK YOU! It is such a worthwhile cause. (ORA)
And I applaud you because when you lost all your hair to Chemo you diplayed your bald head proudly which helped lots of other women to be able to do the same thing.
Fantastic! That's just great Patty. And you look lovely too.
i love it !! I did it once too and I am sad I never got pictures of it....
They will send you a little thank you post card and I put mine in a little frame....
WEEHOOO sassy hair for a sassy gal!
Thanks ladies,
I have been having fun with people doing a double take..."I thought that was you, but..."
I even "put product" in my hair today and promptly called my hair stylist to let her know so she could be proud of me since normally I didn't even comb my hair and thought it looked just fine in it's standard issue pony tail. Today, I spent a full ten minutes to get my hair to have that perfect messy look. What?
Don't get too excited about the change, I expect I will be over fussing with it in about a week.
I am about to go out for a run and can't wait to see how nice no hair flying in my face is going to be.
Patty - This is so cool. You are amazing to me. I also read about your friend coming to visit. You sound like you are so grounded and so fun. I am looking forward to staying in touch. Out of town this week and just trying to survive a packed week of business meetings. Have fun with the hair!!
Thanks for the comment/compliment Nancy. I love both.
Want to be more grounded? Go out and hug a tree. Nope! Not kidding at all. It's magic. If you happen to be in a big city, with no trees, you can also simply plant your feet in a good wide stance and ask the universe to ground you. Really!
